MODERATO is for people who are particular about what goes in their home.
Most of our customers find us one of two ways.
The gift-giver
The first group is shopping for a gift — a housewarming, a thank-you, a Mother's Day, a just-because — and they want something that looks and feels more thoughtful than the usual giftable object.
MODERATO candles arrive in quiet, protective packaging that makes them gift-ready straight out of the box. No extra wrapping required. No trip to the store for a gift bag. Reviewers have told us the packaging alone does half the work — the candle looks expensive before anyone lights it.
The candle person
The second group is candle people. They already know Le Labo, Diptyque, Jo Malone, Byredo, Maison Louis Marie, Salt & Stone. They've tried a lot. They're looking for something that belongs in that conversation but doesn't feel like a repeat of it.
We designed for both.
Our candles sit in the same tier as the prestige brands above — clean-burning, hand-poured, intentional about materials — but at roughly $48–$56 rather than $80+. The difference isn't that we cut corners. It's that we built a business model that doesn't require us to charge $80.
What our customers tend to care about
• Clean-burning, non-toxic ingredients — phthalate-free, paraben-free, vegan, cruelty-free.
• A fragrance that's felt, not announced — strong enough to fill a room, soft enough to not overwhelm a guest.
